Navel Byfield-Untamed, artist, singer-songwriter, 39 years old, was born in Clarendon, but currently lives in St. Catherine, Jamaica with his family.  He started singing and writing his own songs at a young age. Since finding a passion for entertainment he has continued to find ways to improve his writing, vocal, and stage presence.

 

Untamed, “I would say music discover me from a young age where I find myself doing over all the big songs them in my own way”. My older sister would always ask me to sing my version of any song and from there music became my passion.  My favorite Artists of all times gone but not forgotten, Garnett Silk. The Artists that inspired me the most are Shabba Rank and Tiger.

 

I entered the Colgate Sing Competition representing my High School and won in 1997 Since then I have gone on to wining several music competitions to including TVJ-Roll Out, which gives upcoming artists a platform to showcase their talent and get vowed by a general public poll and determine who wins. I had several performances at a reggae stage shows within the Kingston, St. Andrew, and St. Catherine. Since then he has released his first single ‘A girl as a friend’ recorded by Joe Manix-Artist.
