Delano Douglas is otherwise known as Padam, singer, songwriter, drummer, 34 from the Charles Town Maroons of Buff Bay, Portland. My name was given to me by my brother through the intervention of our ancestors, which means “the sounds of the drums”.

The Jamaican Maroons are descendants of Africans who fought and escaped from slavery and established free communities in the mountainous interior of Jamaica during the era of slavery.

The word maroon is commonly believed to be derived from the English equivalent of the Spanish word Cimarron (wild).

Being an artiste, I want my music to inspire people of all nations worldwide especially the younger generation. I draw my musical inspiration from the greats such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Sizzla, Capleton, Buju, etc.

Otherwise from music I love to play football, go swimming, fishing, hunting, playing my drums learning as well as teaching the Maroon culture also spending time with my family.
